This turorial will show you how to make a glowing, colorful background. This tutorial is very specific and easy. Follow the instructions and you will have a fine result.Click on the pictures to get full view!

Step 1
Create a new background with 800x600 in width and height. Then you can start to color the background black. Totally black.
Step 2
Click on the 'Brush Tool' and select a 9px brush.
Step 3
Click on 'Brushes'. And select these settings on your brush (DONT FORGET TO SAVE THIS BRUSH);

Select 'Pen Tool'. Click on these;

Create a new layer (CTRL+SHIFT+N)

'Right Click' and click on 'Stoke Path' and use these settings;

Right click on your layer and click on 'Blending Options' and then select 'Gradient Overlay' with these settings;

'Select 'Pen Tool' again and click out a line like this. And then hold down 'ALT' button and draw the edges (red marks) so it smooths out.

'Right Click' and click on 'Stoke Path' and use these settings (DONT FORGET TO SET THE 'BRUSH TOOL' TO A BRUSH WITH 3px);

Select the 'Pen Tool' again and do the same thing again. But so it looks a bit different, like this;

Draw out the layers. So it look like this;

Then you need to 'Merge Down' (CTRL+E) the layers. (NOT LAYER 1 AND BACKGROUND LAYER).

Right Click on the layer and click on 'Blending Options'. Select 'Outer Glow' and 'Gradient Overlay' and use these settings;

Use different colors, use those colors you want.

Create a new layer (CTRL+SHIFT+N)

Click on 'Brush Tool' and select the brush that you made before.

Click on 'Pen Tool' and do a line like this;

'Right Click' and click on 'Stroke Path' and use these settings;

Go to 'Filter -> Blur -> Motion Blur'. Set the 'Angle' at -58 and 'Distance' to 341.

Go to 'Filter -> Blur -> Motion Blur' again. Set the 'Angle' at -65 and 'Distance' to 341.

'Right Click' and click on 'Blending Options' and use these settings, just pick some colors you like;

'Right Click' and click on 'Free Transform' on the 'Layer 1' and hold down 'SHIFT' and draw it to the size you want.
