This turorial will show you how to make a wallpaper with wings. This is just a basic tutorial to help you create a easy wallpaper. Follow the instructions and you will get a fine result.

Step 1

Create a new background with 1600x1200 in width and height. Then you can start to color the background black. Totally black.

Step 2

Create a text, not to long text.

Step 3

Duplicate the text layer and then'Merge Down' (CTRL+E) in the background layer. Like this:

Now you mark the background layer and then go to 'Filter -> Distort -> Polar Coordinates' and use 'Polar to Rectangular'.

Step 5

Then you need go to 'Filter -> Stylize -> Wind' to make it cool. Set the wind 'From the Right'

Now you need to use 'Filter -> Last filter' (CTRL+F) 2 times more. So it looks like this:

Then you need go to 'Filter -> Stylize -> Wind' to make it cool. Set the wind 'From the Left'.

Now you need to use 'Filter -> Last filter' (CTRL+F) 2 times more. So it looks like this:

And then go to 'Image -> Rotate Canvas-> Rotate 90* CW'.

Should look like this:

Then you need go to 'Filter -> Stylize -> Wind' to make it cool. Set the wind 'From the Right'.

Now you need to use 'Filter -> Last filter' (CTRL+F) 2 times more. So it looks like this:

And then go to 'Image -> Rotate Canvas-> Rotate 90* CCW'.

Should look like this:

Then go to 'Filter -> Distort -> Polar Coordinates' and use 'Polar to Rectangular'.

Now you need to go to 'Filter -> Distort -> Polar Coordinates' and use 'Polar to Rectangular' again.

Now you need to colorize the wings. You can change it to any color you want, I am going with green. Go to 'Image - > Adjustments -> Hue/Saturation' (CTRL+U) and set these settings, (Remember to check 'Colorize' down at the right).

Now it should look like this:

Now it's time to change the text, I changed the font to a cooler font, download the font HERE. Then you need to duplicate the text layer 2 times, so you got 3 text layers. Like this:

At the first layer, change the 'Fill' to 10%.

And the second layer, change the 'Fill' to 30%

And the first text layer, change it to these settings in 'Layer Style'. (Blending options).
