This is a tutorial by Fredric Melchersson. How to create a cool and colorful image. Follow the steps and you will have a fine result.

Step 1

To begin you need to open Adobe Photoshop so we can start. The picture is in 320x480 (width x height). Don't forget to color the background black.
And then you need to create a new layer (CTRL+SHIFT+N)

Step 2

Now are we going to make some curves around the image. You need to select 'Pen Tool'(P) and you need to select 'Paths' with 'Pen Tool' Click on the red marks:

Step 3

Now you need to click out 4 different points with the 'Pen Tool' like this:

Step 4

Now we need to shape the points so we'll get a fine curve. You need to hold down ALT and then hold down left click on the points and then draw with your mouse until you are satisfied with your curve. I chosed like this:

Step 5

Now when you have created a shape of a curve,at first you need to select 'Brush Tool' and then use a brush with 4 px, 100% hardness, then you need to right click and click on 'Stroke Path'.

Step 6

Now you will have a little window open and you need to select the 'Brush Tool' on the Stroke Path window and cross in Simulate Pressure. Simulate Pressure makes so the curves edges is reduced and fades away.

Step 7

Now you need to do it all over again but a bit higher on the picture. Start to select 'Pen Tool' again and then point out 4 points again, like this:

Step 8

Now you need to make it a curve again, hold down ALT and then hold down left click and draw.

Step 9

Now you need to create a new layer (CTRL+SHIFT+N) before we brush the curve. When you have created a new layer, repeat Step 5 and Step 6.

Step 10

Now we are going to make some bubbles outside the curve. You need to select 'Brush Tool' and then you need to select a brush with 5px and 100% hardness. Now you need to go to 'Brushes' and then use these settings for your new brush. These settings will create a new brush with bubbles.

Step 11

Now we are going to brush some bubbles outside the curve. With the new brush we created in Step 10 you just need to start paint where the curves goes. Like this:

Step 12

Now we are going to brush some big bubbles all over the image. You need to right click on the image (When you have the 'Brush Tool') and then set the brush that we created to 50px.

Step 13

Now you need to create a new layer to paint the big bubbles. (CTRL+SHIFT+N)

Step 14

Now you just start paint on the new layer that we created. You can choose how much bubbles you want but don't paint to many. I chosed like this:

Step 15

Now you are going to make it a bit colorful, we are soon done with this tutorial. Create a new layer (CTRL+SHIFT+N).

Step 16

Now you are going to paint over the new layer. Select the 'Brush Tool' and then choose any colors you want and start paint over the new layer. Before you paint you might want to choose a big brush with 0% hardness so you dont get any colorlines in the middle of the image. Paint the colors like this:

Step 17

Now you need to make the colors melt in the background so you need to set the color layer (that we created in Step 16) to 'Overlay'.

Step 18

Now we are going to create a outer glow on the curve. Select 'Layer 1' where you curve is painted and right click on the layer and click on 'Blending Options'. When you are in Blending Options cross in 'Outer Glow' and use these settings on the image down here. I chosed the default color: #ffffbe

Finish
