How to create a Twirl Ball

This is a Tutorial from the graphic; Twirl Ball. This is a very simple tutorials and a good tutorial to use if you want to experiment and maybe create a cooler graphic. Enjoy.











Step 1

Create a new background with 800x600 in width and height. Make the background layer black.

Step 2

Select 'Brush Tool' and select this brush, with these settings:

Create a new layer (CTRL+SHIFT+N)

Step 4

Select the 'Pen Tool' and click out a single line like this:

Step 5

Right click on the line and click on 'Stroke Path'

Step 6

Use these settings on 'Stroke Path';


Step 7

Go to; 'Filter -> Distort -> Twirl' and then twirl the layer. You don't have to use these settings, you can experiment.


Step 8

Now you need to duplicate the layer (the one in step 7) and then go to: 'Filter -> Distort -> Twirl' and then then type in a different value in "Twirl". And then repeat this step as many times you want. The more you repeat this step the more twirls and bigger "ball" it gets.

Step 9

When you have repeated 'Step 8' sometimes you need to merge down (CTRL+E) the "ball" layers. So your layer bar should look like this;

Step 10

Right click on the layer with the 'Twirl Ball' and then click on 'Blending Options' and use these settings:
The color on the glow is: #0078ff

Finish
