Step 1

Create a new background with 1600x1200 in width and height. Then you can start to color the background black. Totally black.

Step 2

Duplicate the background layer.

Step 3

Change the colors at in the 'Tools' area. The color is: #2d5a77

Step 4

Now it's time to create a Lens Flare, go to 'Filter -> Render -> Lens flare'. Use the Brightness at 100%.

Step 5

Transform (CTRL+T) and draw it like this. Your result will be this;

Then you start to duplicate the layer with the lens flare. Then you set the layer to 'Lighten' so the layer melt into one another.

Step 7

Duplicate the layer again and then use 'Free transform' (CTRL+T) and rotate it manually to one side. Like this;

Step 8

Duplicate the new layer (that you made in step 7) and then go to 'Edit -> Transform -> Rotate 90* CW.

Step 9

Now you are suppose to 'Merge Down' (CTRL+E) the layers to one layer. Should look like this in the layer area:

Now you need to go to 'Filter -> Distort -> Twirl' to make it twirl on one layer. Set the twirl at 467. Like this;

Now when you have twirled the layer you need to make it a bit cool. Go to 'Filter -> Sketch -> Photocopy' and set the photocopy to

Step 12

Now you gota cool twirl layer. Create a new layer (CTRL+SHIFT+L) and paint a blue circle in the middle.

Step 13

Now change the layer to 'Saturation' so it fades into the twirl.

Step 14

Now you need to duplicate the twirl layer (layer 0) and set the layer to 'Lighten'.

Step 15

Now goto 'Filter -> Distort -> Twirl' again and set the twirl to -467.
